A new location of the Memorial Hermann-GoHealth urgent care chain opened April 3 at 1424 W. Gray St., Houston, just west of Waugh Drive.
The center will serve patients age 6 months and older with services that include non-life-threatening conditions, on-site X-ray services, COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines.
Design elements include widescreen monitors intended to allow patients to follow along as providers update their charts, according to an April 3 news release. The center accepts walk-ins, and patients can also preregister online.
Patients also have access to Memorial Hermann's broader network of care.
"We are thrilled to serve the families and residents who live and work in River Oaks, and we look forward to expanding our partnership with Memorial Hermann across the Greater Houston area," said Dr. Betsy Koickel, medical director with Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care, in a statement.
The opening follows other Memorial Hermann-GoHealth centers that have opened in the Heights, Kingwood and The Woodlands, among other locations. The new location is the 16th in the Greater Houston area, and other locations are coming soon to Magnolia Place, Springwood Village, Cypress, Steeplechase and Sawyer Heights, according to the release.
