Originally developed in the late 1950s, Meyerland Plaza was the second enclosed regional mall built in Houston, Texas. In 1995, the mall was completely redeveloped into a traditional outdoor power center. Fidelis and BlackRock purchased the shopping center in September of 2013 and began planning ways to add a much-needed grocer. Then in 2020, the H-E-B Meyerland Market was opened including a pharmacy and parking garage below. Other anchors include Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Ross, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, and Old Navy just to name a few. Located along West Loop South at Beechnut St and now boasting over one million square feet, Meyerland Plaza is the most visited open-air retail center in the City of Houston and ranks among the top 5 most visited open-air centers in Texas.
