Fidelis announces Marketplace stores

July 11, 2025

Fidelis CEO Alan Hassenflu named some of the retailers and restaurants coming to the San Jacinto Marketplace at Thursday’s city council meeting

In addition, Hassenflu shared a new site plan for the development with the members of council.

“When it is all said and done, this property will be about a 600,000 square foot shopping center,” Hassenflu said.

Among the stores that Hassenflu said have either signed leases or are in the pending stage include EōS Fitness, Bath and Body Works, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Five Below, Barnes & Noble and Havertys Furniture and Home Goods. The restaurants that Hassenflu said have been signed so far are Portillo’s, a Chicago-style street food restaurant, Plucker’s Wing Bar, and Bubba’s 33, part of the Texas Roadhouse family.

Ross Dress for Less and Burlington are also part of the Marketplace plan Hassenflu said. Both stores already have locations in Baytown.

The new site plan included Lone Star Avenue which will connect San Jacinto Boulevard, on the west side of the property to Garth Road on the east.

“Those will be in a lineup that encompasses the middle part of the development,” Hassenflu said of the retail stores.

In front of those stores will be the Community Green area that Hassenflu said will serve as the front door of the shopping centers. South of there will be the new 170,000-square-foot Sam’s Club with two multi-tenant buildings situated in front of it. In the Central Green area, Hassenflu said he is expecting about 10 fast-casual restaurants to be located there.

“We are happy to be here,” Hassenflu said. “It has taken a long, long time to get everything bought. And then we had COVID, but we are finally there, happy to be under construction, and happy to finally be delivering the shopping center to the good folks of Baytown and everybody here.”
