Relocation Station – The North Dallas Chamber sells headquarters while Academy opens in Mesquite

COMMERCIAL SALES

Brooklyn-based Freshwater Group acquired a 51-unit apartment complex at 5128 Cedar Springs Road in Dallas. The seller was not disclosed.

 

 

An entity connected with Centurion American Development Group bought a 34,200-square-foot office building at 10056 Marsh Lane. The property was sold by an entity connected with the Dallas County. John Mathes and Paul Cooke III of The Retail Connection were involved in the transaction along with Steven Schneider of Site Selection Group. 

Gary Walker, president of SkyWalker Property Partners and managing principal of Hangover Opportunity Fund acquired the 28,211-square-foot Vandergriff Town Center at 200 N. Mesquite St. in Arlington. The center is fully occupied. 

Southwest Medical & Professional Service bought a 10,224-square-foot office building at 2107 N. Collins Blvd. in Richardson. The property was sold by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Taylor Stell, Brett Lewis and George Tanghongs of Lee & Associates represented the buyer while Henry S. Miller represented the seller. 

A Dallas-based investor has bought the former headquarters of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce at 10707 Preston Road. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the buyer did take out a $2.5 million loan from Veritex Community Bank to make the purchase, according to Dallas County deed records. The Chamber has hired Site Selection Group to find it a new headquarters. 

 

LEASES

Academy Sports + Outdoors has opened a new 71,674-square-foot store at Market East Shopping Center in Mesquite. The store has been moved from its previous home at West Emporium Circle, also in Mesquite. 

Optex Systems Inc. leased 44,867 square feet at 9801 Chartwell Drive in Dallas. Ryan Wolcott and Adam Jones of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, DRA Advisors. Alan Thomas with Swearingen Realty Group represented the tenant. 

ProBuilt Tools Inc. leased 42,558 square feet at 4002 W. Miller Road in Garland. Ryan Wolcott and Matt Dornak of Stream represented the landlord, Barings.
