The Poplar Commons shopping center in East Memphis looks to bring the bling from Nashville.
Genesis Diamonds plans to open its newest showroom this month at 4546 Poplar Ave., Suite 101, adding to the retailer’s regional footprint.
Genesis Diamonds has locations in Nashville and Brentwood, Tennessee; Louisville; Cincinnati; and now Memphis.
“We are excited to show Memphis what Genesis Diamonds is all about,” Boaz Ramon, president of Genesis Diamonds, said in a press release.
Ramon, who was a former diamond wholesaler supplier, founded Genesis Diamonds in 2005.
The retailer became the official Tennessee Titans jeweler in 2006 and is also the official jeweler of the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville sports teams.
Genesis Diamonds’ Memphis location is adjacent to some coming-soon competition in the jewelry retailing space.
Arkansas-based Sissy’s Log Cabin has a stand-alone location under construction at Laurelwood Shopping Center on the property previously occupied by Rafferty’s. Earlier this year, Sissy’s became the official jeweler of the Memphis Grizzlies.
In February, the Poplar Commons shopping center sold to a Texas-based company for more than $25 million.
