Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, and Texas Health Resources announced this week that they have entered into a joint venture partnership to build a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital [within Rayzor Ranch Town Center] in Denton, Texas that is expected to open in 2027. This will be the fifth anticipated joint venture inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and will be located at I-35 and West University Drive.
“Texas Health is pleased to further expand our collaboration with Lifepoint to increase access to rehabilitation services in the community of Denton,” said DeShon Woods, vice president, Ambulatory Strategic Partnership Operations for Texas Health. “Texas Health’s Mission is to improve the lives of the people in the communities we serve, and one way we do that is by enhancing the quality of life and independence of those who have suffered devastating illness and injuries.”
The new free-standing facility will provide inpatient rehabilitation services for adults who have experienced a loss of function or disability due to stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic surgery, amputation and other conditions. With 40 private rooms, it will expand access to inpatient rehabilitation care in Denton County, addressing a growing regional need.
“We are pleased to expand our partnership once again with Texas Health,” said Russ Bailey, President of Lifepoint Rehabilitation. “We have a shared goal to invest in accessible, high-quality specialty care in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and with our new hospital in Denton, we will take one more meaningful step forward in addressing the growing regional need for inpatient rehabilitation care.”
Construction for the new inpatient rehabilitation hospital is expected to begin this fall with an anticipated opening in 2027.
Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Texas Health jointly own a network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, including Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth, Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, and Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington, which is jointly owned by Lifepoint Rehabilitation, Texas Health Resources and Methodist Health System. Last August, Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Texas Health Resources announced plans to open an additional inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Plano, Texas in 2026.
