HBJ Names Real Estate Projects as Finalists for 2021 Landmark Awards

Written by Houston Business Journal Staff | Mar 5, 2021 7:45:00 PM

Despite all of the challenges last year created by the Covid-19 pandemic, many high-profile real estate projects were completed across the Houston area.

The Houston Business Journal's Landmark Awards recognize real estate projects that make a significant impact on Houston and help sculpt the look, feel and image of the city. Our panel of judges narrowed down the finalists to 52 projects in 18 categories for this year’s awards. Some finalists appear in more than one category.

HBJ will recognize all the finalists and reveal the winners during the Landmark Awards live broadcast on April 22 at 2 p.m. Click here for more information and to register.

All of the finalists and winners will be featured in a special publication in the HBJ's April 23 weekly edition, available in print and online. Click here to subscribe.

Projects are recognized for excellence in land planning, design, construction, economics, marketing and management. Nominations were open to all real estate projects completed in the greater Houston area from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2020.

Entries were judged on impact to Houston, such as job creation, innovation, best use of land, site plan, development of surrounding neighborhoods, visual plan, amenities and being environmentally friendly.

A Lifetime Achievement Award honoree will be announced separately.

This year's judges were Stephanie Burritt, principal and co-managing director, Gensler; Kelly Hall, CEO, Harvey Builders; Jane Page, CEO, Lionstone Investments; Steven Seltzer, president, Sheridan Commercial; Robert Williamson, senior vice president of investment management, Midway; and Giselle Greenwood, editor-in-chief, HBJ.
