A store known for selling products for a buck will open in south Fort Worth. According to state licensing documents, a new Dollar Tree is opening in the old 14,000-square foot Party City location in Overton Park Plaza

Party City filed for bankruptcy in 2024 and then proceeded to shutter all of its stores in 2025. Now, the party supply brand can be found in more than 700 Staples office supply stores around the nation.

During Party City’s closures, Dollar Tree successfully acquired 148 former Party City store leases.

Dollar Tree is known for selling most of their products for $1.25. They have everything a customer would need for everyday essentials – houseware, cleaning supplies, food, health and beauty products, toys, wrapping and party supplies, craft supplies, teaching supplies, books, seasonal decor, and much more.

When will Dollar Tree open in Overton Park Plaza?

The new Dollar Tree is opening only a mile and a half north from the Dollar Tree off Hulen Street in Fort Worth. A Five Below store, that sells products for $5 and below, is also the tenant next door. According to the documents, construction is supposed to wrap up by late November. An exact opening date has not yet been determined.
