Yale Marketplace is a 61,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center anchored by Whole Foods 365, a Whole Foods concept that selects vendors and products specific to the area’s heritage and offers unique goods that aren’t available at other locations in Houston. The Whole Foods 365 storefront was a welcome addition to a previously underserved market.

Yale Marketplace’s distinguishing feature is a mural that portrays the three mayors of Independence Heights, as well as the former city hall building, and homes and churches largely built by Independence Heights residents. Yale Marketplace is revitalizing the Independence Heights neighborhood by bringing in much-needed grocery and retail services to the neighborhood.
